Will I get better results from video taping if I have the camera level with me? I have been putting it on the steps and it is  waaay below waist level…it doesn't look rite. Makes me look  as tall as my pole! I am tall but Im not over 9 feet lol! Ive tried other angles but I just can't seem to get it rite. Thanks!

Got to be creative with these stuff, when I film pole dancing I take the shoe rack, put it "endwise" and then the camera on top it. I think pole dancing is best when it's filmed not from below, not from above. I love being creative with angels, but in general a front view and not to close up is the best in my opinion. Do you have anything high to put the camera on?

All my vids are from about thigh height. They do me pretty good "reality" justice. I typically like a slightly downward view for photography, I've always found it more flattering, but pole different. Get with your daughter and play around with cam placement 🙂

I have this problem too. My pole is in a really small room so finding a good angle that is far enough away to fit everything into the frame is really difficult.

A tip for those with small rooms, try using a mirror to capture more of the space. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

The angle that's best can vary from camera to camera too, so it's good to just try different things.
