    Ladies,

When u add the transitions to your videos on imovie like "fade to black" or "cross dissolve" etc.,….when do u add them? Ok, if I want to show a carousel spin, then after that a fireman for ex. would I put the transition in between the two or…would i stop the recording and film each one sep? This is driving me nuts! I taped a whole dance then tried to add transitions and it wouldnt let me. I could only add where there was a green line. On many of your vids, you go from one pose to the next with a fade out,etc in between. How were u allowed to do that unless Im doing something rong…which I probably am. Thanks…

So basically when the video "fades out" I want to be in one pose…when it fades back in , I want to be doing something different but i cant figure out how to pull that off. Simple I know, but i have never done this but determined to get it. Ive figured out, with the help of youtube ,how to add music, block out background sound, etc, but this other stuff is gettin me down!  I have Imovie 08. We are going to download the newest version once the computer has been cleaned up a bit. Thanks!

On iMovie you can split the clips highlight the section then right click and the choices are there you can split the clips and take bits out, drag your transitions and drop them I between your clips it’s do do easy to use . Otherwise just go to your help.:-)

You can also just grab the piece you want znd drop it in your project . To do this hold down the mouse button drag it over the movie clip and when you have your piece keep your finger on the mouse button and drag it to your project, release the mouse button and Voila you HSBC the clip you want put your transition in then go get the next piece you want yo put in
