    Hi Veenas!

Would love to get any suggestions on this, as I’m getting a tad desperate. I’ve been searching for the last four months and now, with only just over two weeks to go, I haven’t decided on a song yet for my submission to UKPPC 2013!

I was thinking a song in the same realm as “Glassdrops” featuring John LaMonica – video also features Marlo Fisken performing some tricks and combinations that are out-of-this-world WELL worth a watch!

I’ve done a lot of UKPPC youtubing, and classical / orchestral music doesn’t seem to be a popular choice, neither is stripper, slow and sensual music as the competition doesn’t allow heels.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you in advanced!

How about something 'old skoooool' (haha)

Or this. It might be more my taste, but I can visualise some really powerful stuff…

Or, perhaps something with more ups and downs, with a tempo increase?

This is a little bit more of a fast tempo, but "sounds" the same:

This one has the same sounding singer, but is more rock/country seasoned:

The most important is how you feel.I played some cardio music to dance to and I couldn't move or feel the music!!! I played classical but I felt Limited yet powerful lol (limited in my sexy style) So my advice is to play music that you resonate well with. Why tell you to play slow music if it will throw you off or classical b/c a lot of ladies are doing that? Just be yourself and play what your inner self will come out with!

Mmmmm a good point! I’m naturally a fast mover (it’s the ex competitive cheerleader in me) so fast music makes me want to pump it. Not really good as I’m conscious of the fact it’ll tire me out / get me really sweaty which is not good for extended strength type combos hm. Would be so wonderful if I found it easy to move slow, song choices could be a lot easier then :S

Pick a song that you feel, and reflects a situation you have been in. You put more emotion into your routine that way and your movements just floooow when you feel the music!

I'm sure you'll do great, no matter the song.

Well, your sn immediately reminded me of a lyric from Jimi Hendrix’s song “Purple Haze” where it goes “‘scuse me while I kiss the sky!”. I’m a bit old fashioned, though. Just what came to mind.

Anything dubstep seems to be the fav concerning pole these days. Any new fangled pop songs by artists I have no idea about are pretty popular.

You want my honest opinion, though? Pick a song that has always held great meaning to you. Your true self will shine on stage because you know every word, every note, and will dance from your soul. 😉
