Is it just me, or does it annoy anyone else that those joints are now slide together. That is screaming to me that they are trying to trick people into thinking those poles are x perts.

Of course they are!  Parts of this are probably even stolen from the company that makes them for X pole.  When you barely get paid a living wage the only way to get ahead is to steal off the manufacturing line.  Sadly it is easier to deal with the thefts than it is with American unions.  But I digress…..

Sadly, I cannot return it. I cannot even get ahold of the person who sold it to me. so it just goes to show that some people suck! I did figure out how to assemble the pole and it was not as complicated as I thought, just took some tinkering with each a part. This pole will do for now, I am just frustrated cause I thought I was purchasing an X-pole.

Chemgoddess1, I reviewed that site and it is not that pole either. I have no clue who made this pole. It it thick material and seems quality made. I have seen those poles before and they actual have a bottom more like X-pole, just very thin metal in the pole itself. Who knows….. thank you though.

Where did you get this pole from? Did you buy it through a company or a private seller?

If you got it on amazon then you can probably return it as defective.

If she bought it through a reputable site, they may be able to help her get her money back

This looks like a fun project to me.

If she can't return it, might as well try to get it together and use it for basic stuff, right? Honestly, I've been on a faux x-pole and it wasn't horrible. The screw to get static mode to stay static was stripped but otherwise it was ok.  I didn't try anything that generated too much momentum either. It did feel just as stable as my old x-pole did…

So Skyler- what have you put together so far? Most of the pieces seem straight forward to me. There's really only one that's confusing me…

i have a faux x pole my husband bought on amazon. its been a good pole. the screws for static mode stripped right away but other than that shes been sturdy. weve used it side by side with a real xpole and didnt notice any difference

I bought it from an individual on a friend's studio FB page. It will work for what I am trying to do for right now and I will be buying a x-pole directly from their site!

As for putting it together, my husband and I did, however due to the carpet and it's weird plush, none of the extensions help to where it will stay up. I tried a mini inversion and my weight pushed the carpet in enough to make it move off the ceiling. Yay! So we have sat down and configured an 8×8 faux floor for the bonus room. Gotta love a supportive husband. Will see how that goes!

Another question, when using the poles like these, does the ceiling have to be completely smooth. My ceiling has a slight amount of texture to it and I was wondering if that would change anything. Sorry, I have always used Lil Minx pole, which I really like, but they spin so differently than x-poles!
