dance paws
Posted by jeng on April 20, 2009 at 1:43 amDoes anyone wear dance paws on their feet when poling. I find that if i’m doing alot of transitional spins bare foot on carpet or bare floor the bottom of my foot hurts from the friction. Also any suggestion what brand to buy and what to look for for a good fit.

I thought about getting these too! I used them a long time ago for gymnastics. I can’t remember any brands…I’ll think a little bit! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I think I posted this a while back, so please forgive me if I’m repeating myself.
I, too, have carpet in my rental and I despise it. If I wear shoes I trip–not very sexy, is it? So when I’m practicing just dancing, I wear these half sock thingies, that have cut-outs where your toes go. I got them in a dance supply store. There is a small pad for under the ball of the foot for smoother turns (or if you don’t want to rip off callouses in a modern dance class), but it’s not a platform or anything. They work really well. -
I found a local store that sells them and going to give them a try since the bottom of my feet keep getting sore from dancing on carpet.

I love my Dance Paws!
I have a lot of problems with my feet so I can’t go barefoot on hard floors anymore (and no high heels much at all, sniff sniff). When I’m teaching or dancing on wooden floors, I wear them. Here’s a link to them:

I wear them for belly dancing, not pole, since my pole is in a carpeted room and, at the pub, I wear kitten heels. I love them!
