    Hi Guys 🙂

So im super desperate to get my own pole and be able to start practicing at home, and I doubt im going to be able to afford a brand new xpole xpert (The only brand I can seem to find available in the UK??) any time soon, and so was thinking of getting a second hand one on pay day, but was just wondering if, when buying from ebay/gumtree etc, there is anyway to tell that ill be actually getting a genuine xpole and not being fobbed off with something else, potentially dangerous?

Hope that all makes sense lol.

Do you really need a pole that spins? Maybe the Xpole Sport would be a good alternative? £149-£169 depending on finish!

It's hard to say on eBay/Gumtree. (I hate Gumtree for anything, fulla idiots!)I'm not sure how great a scale of fakes are going around, and I wasn't up for risking it at those prices either.

I went for a Titanium Gold Xpole Sport and I think I've made the right choice 🙂 I got mines from Pole Dance Heaven and it was here pretty much next day free delivery. (hope thats ok to say as we are talking about UK here!) There are a few other poles here, like the Carmen Electra and the Hot Pink but it's recommended to go for the more professional standard.

I've only been doing this almost 4 weeks, and I was feeling a bit sick about spending that much so soon, but it really has been worth it already!

    Good luck!

Also meant to say – the only difference between the sport and the xpert is the spinning function – my friends been doing this for 4 years and shes never used her spin option yet on her Chrome Xpert

Swilks-thanks for your reply 🙂 iv been debating this fact for a while, and decided on the xpert as I enjoy going on spin in class n would love to work on my spins more. However, maybe it’s an option for me to buy the sport until I can afford the xpert. I’m very dubious about fakes n seen a few posts on here from girls who have been ripped off, which makes me angry n just fuels my mis trust really lol. Which is why I was hoping there was some way to tell. Think ill have to wait n see what my wage is this month :p
Desirae-thanks hun, I’d take you up on the offer if I lived in America, but i live in England. Xxx

I bought my xpert from ebay about 6 months ago and it is wonderful 🙂 it is the older screw together one but it is perfect. I made sure there was a picture of the packaging and instructions to make sure it was genuine before bidding. My friend got her xpole sport around the same time from ebay and it had never been used. If you are careful who you buy from, ie check feedback etc then there are some real bargains on ebay. I have been buying for years from ebay, we even bought a car a few years ago and apart from 2 incidents where we didnt get our goods (we did get our money back for those) I have never had a problem. Good luck 🙂
