We were working on these last night in class. I always have an issue b/c I cant quite grip the pole from the bottom. I know I have a good grip on my thighs (the joys of having extra love there). Last night I figured out what I need to do. As I go back and lock my legs, if I can get my foot up there for extra grip, then im good. I feel like im locked in and the only way im getting out of it is sliding down.

I think with more and more confidence out of this move, I wont have to rely on having my foot locked in.

I think BECAUSE of my "extra love" as you put it…LOL…on my legs, CAR has always been easier for me. Feels more secure. So congrats on it getting better for you!

    Hello! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I need all the help I can get for this move, I’ve only been able to do it once on my own with confidence, i freak out when I start leaning back everytime.
Do you mean that your foot touches the pole? Or that you lock your feet together?

Locking your foot on the pole (if you mean with your instep on the pole) is a different position than crossing the ankles.

With the foot hold you are gripping further up the calves with the foot unhooked you are gripping more from tailbone in the back to knees in the front.

Remember to roll your knees in toward each other.
