wrist wraps and support
Ok, so there have been a number of posts about wrist wraps and supports over the years here. I have chronic tendonitis (from more than simply pole) and have tried a number of different supports – from tape through to velcro wraps. I have seen a hand physio, I know the whole 'don't rely on supports' argument and also would prefer to have that little bit of support to prevent further injury.
So, the point of all this, is after a suggestion on this forum, I tried out some wrist wraps by vertical swag (a fellow pole dancer'. I LOVE them. They feel firm without cutting off circulation, they are easy to put on and breathe really well so don't get all stinky (a problem I have had with other styles of wraps). Especially the first time, they need to be tightened regularly while training, but that is so quick to do it really hasn't been an issue, and after 2 wears I have had to tighten them even less. In the evening after heavy training normally my wrists would have hurt a lot more than what I have found with these – this may be just my experience, but it is true for me nonetheless. On top of that, they are just beautiful colours.
Seriously, very happy with this purchase. Thought I'd share 🙂
