Just wanted to share my excitement…. I just got my cert to practice as a doula! Can’t quite figure out how to practice as a birth doula at the moment whilst my children are young, but may do a bit of post birth work once my youngest is at school next year.
    Any other pole dancing Doulas?

Congrats! Doulas and midwifes are such amazing and important people!!!!! I use midwifes for my last 2 births and it was just wonderful. They even brought me snacks while in labor, and anyone who knows me knows I love my snacks. lol

Thanks! Yes I considered midwifery too but I have been a nurse now for 14 yrs and thought of going back to being a student again doesn’t appeal. Here in the UK a midwife attends all births unless they need medical intervention. I had my babies at home in water, was magical 🙂

Can’t wait to get started! I was lucky enough to attend a course lead by Dr Michel Odent, the pioneering French Obstetrician who founded water births. He was amazing to listen to.
Veena I watched your pole dances during pregnancy, just beautiful. I would love a 4th but I’m not sure I could cope with all the work that accompanies it!
