Shoe Indecision! Arrghhhhh
Hi ladies!
I am the worst person in the world when it comes to making decisions… I'm trying to buy my first pair of pole shoes and I've managed to narrow it down to two choices, the Pleaser Delight 609 and the Pleaser Kiss 209 (both in black patent). I'm kind of leaning toward the Delight 609, but what do you all think?

Also, I've heard that the patent tends to scratch easily, is this true? I'd really like to know as I'd hate to get them and then get upset when they get scuffed after a few hours of wear. Thanks in advance! 🙂

The patent got ripped off of the top of my shoes (the climbing spot) after only maybe 6 hours of use. So I can’t recommend patent at all! Also, the paint starts to wear off at the platform.
My other shoes, totally clear, seem to last forever. -
Tacha, ahh no, that sounds so annoying. :/ That's something to keep in mind though, thanks for the tip!

Hi Unicorn, here is my experience and advice.
The main 2 differences between the two pairs are:
– Delight has a slightly thinner and spiked heel (which, I think, won’t affect your dance)
– Delight is a 5 3/4″ height against Kiss 6″At a first look they seem very similar and they both are and look very nice, especially when you wear them on.
As for the black patent color, yes, in my experience both patent and platform color come off with usage but, well, it means you are using them so no need to be upset!
As a first pair of shoes, especially if you are not planning on investing on other purchases, I’d suggest transparent.
I use tranpsarent as a learning shoe and reserve the coloured ones for perfomances or special occasions.But, if you plan to buy a second pair of shoes after this, go on and buy black if it’s black that you like!

I do not recommend the 609s. The last two pairs I’ve had, and also girls that I’ve worked with, have had patent rip within hours (never happened with my Tony’s) and also have had lifting of the sole within a day or two. I’m glad I quit dancing and don’t have to pay into shoes anymore, because Pleaser’s quality has done nothing but decrease since I started dancing. And that was only almost a year and a half ago, I hate to see what their shoes are like in 5 years!

Personally, I like the slightly wider stilettos (209). They are a bit easier to walk in than the pencil stilettos! (609)

Ladies, thank you so much for your advice and help. 🙂 I think I’ll look for a pair of transparent ones for my first, I’m sure they’ll be a sound investment as I know I’ll definitely use them loads and I am quite clumsy so if I bash them about a bit they should still look ok, hahaha!

I’ve just bought the pleaser 709. I know you guys are warning about the patent heels, they rip off but I couldn’t help

You will all be very sick of me posting my pics when they arrive!! Lol. After fighting against the thought of dancing in shoes for almost two years.. I’m obsessed now! 🙂

The patent comes off really easily. Fill it in with black nail polish and no one notices. Especially if you’re dancing… because no one’s paying attention to tiny scuffs on your shoes.

Ellierox I ordered them off wearifudare.co.uk after the ladies here have me a few sites to check. I got the black 709s and I’m very excited. If the patent rips so be it, I’m planning to buy a second pair already lol. I ordered black because, well I just love black! Where did u order yours Ellierox? And cool where abouts in Ireland are u? I got the clear plastic ones for my first pair – Pleaser Kiss 208 6″ heel I think. They lasted quite a while, got a bit scuffed and stretched. Put some half insoles in which helped. I recently got Pleaser OTK black boots 3050 I think. Only worn them a few times and they are scuffed up but not badly.
