Where did the ‘topic index’ go?
Hello Veena,
I really love this website and this community where everyone is so friendly and always so supportive and helpful!
But I do have a question. As I recall, there used to be some kind of index in the Discussion section, such as “Clothing” “Pole Moves” “Beauty Tips” etc. I can’t seem to find this index of topics any more. All threads are now aligned on one page. Is it really gone, or did I just miss it? I did like it because it allowed me to search for particular threads more easily.

It is my understanding that the topic went away with this version of the site.

Yes we no longer have topics. They were never used. 🙂

In the previous version of the site we made topics optional. When they were required they tended to limit the topics discussed on the website. Removing the requirement for a topic broadened the topics of discussion which had the effect of increasing overall discussion on the site.
When we made topics optional and moved to the ongoing discussion stream, topic usage slowed to a trickle. Most discussions weren’t categorized and most people didn’t bother clicking the topics so in this iteration of the software we removed them.
