So I am able to do that solo for the upcoming performance on December 14th. But I need to choose a song and I’m totally lost! I want something sexy, raunchy, saucy…. get the idea? I really like to dance to ZZ Ward (example, Lil’ Darlin’) or Sexy Silk by Jessie J at home, and I am looking for something like that. Not something super fast, and not something with swearing. I just need it to be OOZING sexy appeal… because if it’s not a I swear to god the instructor will put together a routine for me that has jazz hands or something. :/ I want my performance to be sexy and sultry.. any ideas, guys?

I’m in the same boat! So I’m following this post. Our showcase is on December 20th. I was thinking Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” (although that music video is a bit controversial here on SV) and a few others. I’ll have to see what’s on my computer and post a list! I think there are a bunch of songs from the late 90s and early 2000s that I’ve forgotten about 🙂

Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation
Feelin’ Love -City of Angels Sound track

If you listen to the lyrics of Feelin’ Love I don’t think “Jazz Hands” will fit into the routine. They won’t really fit with the mood of the song either. Good luck!

I second Eyes on Fire, but the Zeds Dead Remix as featured on a Pole Dolls video. Love that song and am considering it myself! I will have to listen to Feelin’ Love…

Nasty naughty boy by Christina is one of my faves! So easy to dance to and it’s such a sexy song 😉

I’m leaning towards songs more like Nasty Naughty Boy.. however, I actually really like eyes On Fire! I just don’t think I could dance sexily to it.. Hmmm. I’m not a sexy dancer in general so I really need something to bring that out, ya know?

Any other ideas, guys? I’m not the music type. Right now I have “Nasty Naughty Boy”, “Sexy Silk”, and “Lil Darlin'”.

I realize I might sound like an old fart here, but I recently did a routine on ‘Father Figure’ by George Michael. A song with a very nice, sultry, pulsing pace and ofcourse Georges sexy voice. The lyrics are quite dramatic as well. At 5:38, this song is quite lengthy, but if you squeeze in some sexy floorwork (like I did as well), it’s actually not that exhausting.

By the way: many thanks again to Veena, who gave me soms great tips on home-pole cleaning, which made it possible to write and practice this routine at home and… successfully execute it in front of all my classmates and my pole teacher! 😀

I’m not the greatest at picking out sexy music (I’m frequently told I dance to rather depressing songs. My one attempt to counter this was Spaceship by Puddle of Mud, super fun but not what my teacher had in mind) but I figure it is better to give you some options that you don’t use than not give you an option you may use.

    Come On Closer – Jem
    Is This Real? – Lisahall
Pony – Far – this one may be a bit more rock than you’re looking for but it’s a lot of fun
In A Lonely Place [Tricky Mix] – Bush and Tricky (from the Deconstructed album)- long but there are plenty of places to cut and fade out to suit you’re needs
    Obsession (Cover) – Golden State
