I have seen the ankle protectors at mighty grip that cover part of the foot. Has anyone seen something that would cover more of the top of the foot? I have recovered from the fracture on top of my foot but i still need to protect it. I may have to use sneakers (cute ones) for a while.

I use a pair of lightweight Trax Evolv rock climbing shoes (they are made in the USA) Once worn in you feel as if you are barefoot but your whole foot is protected. They also have a very good grip on the pole, they have a rubber coating almost all over so even when you hook the top of your foot around the pole you are gripping.

I use the pleaser delight 1018 as ankle/foot protectors on occasion. They work well and look sexy doing it. 🙂 http://gagafashionland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/pleaser-delight-1018.jpg

My other thought would be to buy the shoes a little too big and add some kind of padding to the top of your foot… Those shoes will cut down on bruising and pain, but pressure will still be present and a broken foot bone is nothing to joke about!

I was thinking about some sort of padding and you are rite…it’s no joke! Thanks! I may use my soft sole jazz shoes and put foam or something in them.
