    hey Folks!

Anyone have a good recommendation for how frequently to go through the pole strength routine? I was going to start aiming for 2 x a week, spaced out like tuesday/friday or something like that. I am pretty active (triathlete) and so for me, planning my time on the pole has been a struggle. I swim three times a week, run twice a week, and jump on my bike once a week. And this is my off-season schedule; when I get into preparing for a race, it becomes even more. But I also know that Pole will be an awesome compliment for what I am working on in my other activities. So I am thinking that making it a priority 2 x a week for the strength routine and everything is best.

Anyone else out there who has a fairly active schedule with other forms of physical activity? How do you fit everything in?

    Thanks!! 🙂

I’m not a expert t this but you seem very athletic so maybe twice a week is enough for u. I’m aiming to do it 3 times a week because I’m not really athletic I only jog couple times a week and pole 3 times a week. I include the strengths routine as my warm up before poling. Hope this helps

Totally does. 🙂 My upper body strength is awful! For as much as I do, its always been my weak point. I am really liking the pole strength routine so I think incorporating that before I do any pole work will be the way to go. Sometimes I have a hard time getting started 🙂 Thanks for your feedback! It is much appreciated!

Jacquespinz, being that you do other physical activity sounds like 2 times a week is a good fit! To change things up a bit you could replace the Pole Strength Routine, with the Shoulders and abs routine one day and the Chest and Back the next time you do your pole workout! So you can rotate through those workouts!

I’m a marathoner, so I get what you’re saying! Right now I’m on lighter mileage so it’s a bit easier, but for me my plan for pole each week is once a week to class for 1-2 hours, plus an hour at home a few days later. I usually run 4 days a week and try to do one day regular old strength training (same day as a shorter run). I plan one day per week to rest.

Also.. Each week I write what I’m going to do exercise wise each day on my calendar. Sometimes I have to swap days around (like if I had a long run planned but ended up too busy) but writing it down really helps make sure I follow through.
