How much training do you all do per week?
Posted by chipandchar on December 26, 2013 at 1:18 pmAnd I mean at any level….beginner to advanced and even professional. Just pole and other workouts. I have set some pretty high goals for 2014. Just wondering how much work other girls put into it. I know everyone’s body is different though.

Hi! I started poling in June and got pretty serious about it quickly. I would say I’m intermediate level now. Each week I pole for about 4 hours, stretch cumulatively about an hour, yoga 1 hour, crossfit 1 hour, and lifting about 2 hours. I try to do something active every day.

I pole around 3 hrs a week, lift and do cardio 4-5 days a week and stretch before and after each workout.

So I am the other end of the spectrum, I pole about 3hrs a day, 5 days a week. along w/ additional strength training at the gym and running. and flexibility, lyra, and hand balancing. In summary, I am crazy.

@jsheirdan not crazy, just passionate! 🙂 I spend about 4 hours a week? learning floor work and I don’t even have my pole yet! I switch off doing ab and leg strengthening work outs during the week and I have been doing push ups everyday and now I can do almost 80 🙂 I also stretch twice a week, back stretch once a week, foot stretch/stregthening everyday.

I don’t have a set schedule rather I do what I can when I can. On average I would say I pole about 1.5 hrs twice a week (at home) and maybe every other week I take a one-hour class at the studio. I lift weights about once a week but do lower body strength training at least twice a week because it’s physical therapy for my knee. I really hate cardio and probably only average once a week. Flexibility and yoga type stuff I throw in every now and then maybe every other week.

I spend about 14 hours a week. Im crazy about poling, everyday I warm up, work out, stretch then condition. Takes about 2-2 1/2 hours everyday sometimes 3 lol…then if I want I just freestyle

The studio I go to is currently on a break. Under normal circumstances my schedule is something like Monday 1 hr pole, Tuesday 1hr splits n flex, Wednesday 1 hr Pilates, Thursday rest, Friday 1 hour pole, rest weekend.i I throw in a practice session here and there, and sometimes a 5 week course of Extend Barre, or a 4 week course of something at the studio (just done a handstand course). I attend workshops with visiting instructors whenever I get the chanceI would like to do a Lyra course next year if I can fit it. I will be preparing for 2 amateur pole comps next year, which will involve lots of practice sessions and a few privates, I’ve also got a 3 day pole camp in January 🙂 and I think about pole-related stuff almost constantly!

Before I would pole every other day for about 2 hours plus cross train at the gym 4-6 days a week. Sometimes exercising for like 4 to 5 hours in one evening. Now with the baby I try to get out and pole 2 times a week for 1-2 Hours and the gym 2 days for 1-2 hours. I was about intermediate but now I’m starting over as a beginner level.

At university I had a lot of free time and spent around 11 hours a week exercising. Monday 2 hours yoga, Wednesday 2 hours climbing, Thursday 2 hours yoga, Friday 4 hours pole, Sunday 1 hour pole. Now that I work long hours I only have weekends free and pole 2 hours at a studio…

I have two 1 hour classes a week then twice a month we have stretching or pole boot camp classes for an hour too then I try to have two or three 30-45 mins sessions on the pole at home. When I’m on holiday (Im a teacher) its loads more but when Im at work I struggle to fit it all in, especially this time of year with the dark evenings when motivation is somewhat lacking LOL

I do about 3 hours pole, run about 20 miles (more in spring/summer), and an hour or two of strength training per week.

@grayeyes I warm up my arms really well before doing my daily push ups, I do stop around 40 for a few seconds lol it’s getting easier and easier for me and I also work out before or after the push ups I have to workout everyday to stay motivated. I drink a protein shake after my workout everyday maybe that’s why I’m progressing so quickly??
