Research / articles about the benefits of pole
Hi y’all!
Sorry for my long absence on here; me and my friend have been very busy opening our studio 🙂
Now that it’s all done I have some more trouble:I’m only doing this as a side yob, and some of my collegues saw our page on facebook and our website. You also might need to know that I had my leg broken last summer and from that I still suffer pain in certain situations so I’m not able to do my regular job at the moment and instead I’m working in an office right now.
So there are two concerns about my side job: Although I live in Germany and we are usually known to be pretty open minded, some find that pole dancing is not a suitable way for a police officer to spend her free time.
I can only lough at this and I don’t think I have any problems with arguing on this issue. They probably just don’t know that the asians have done similar things for fitness 1000 years ago and that the pole community is well organised and holding championships. The other one might be a little more difficoult: I need some arguments, that proof that pole dancing is not a hinderance for my health at the moment but instead beneficial and help me to recover a lot sooner.
So I would be very happy if anyone could name me some scientific research or articles about the health benefits of pole dancing.
(I know where all of this is coming from; I was going to advance – is that the right word? – to the next rank and some are pissed off because of that and the fact, that I’m in an office right now. There is just a lot of jealousy, but it’s causing me some serious trouble at the moment.)
Thank you all in advance!!!
P.S.: If you’d like to have a look on our website and facebook, here it is (all in German though):
