    What specifically is creaking? There are 2 bearings on the pole….one in the dome and one in the base. They are fir the most part sealed bearings but they can be lubricated. Best is a light machine oil….3in1 or many times if you have a sewing machine or electric razor you already have some lying around.

    Im not too sure where the creaking is coming from cause it echos throughout the inside of the pole, i think it could be both cause i have never lubed it before this. but thank you for the advice!!

    If a pole is creaking there are 2 possibilities;

    1. The joint or joints are not tight enough. Undo the joint and re-tighten.

    Do check the operation of the joints out of the pole.The screw threads on the joints can become dirty over a period of time and become stiff. That makes them hard to tighten fully. Try undoing and tightening your joint and see if it is hard to turn the key. If it is hard a little light oil will help. Add the oil on the screw and work the joint open/close 5~10 times.

    We also recommend for studios to use a ratchet wrench with a 5mm Hex key socket/driver. A ratchet wrench will allow you to get a lot more turning pressure on the hex screw – do make sure the hex socket key is fully inserted in the hex screw.

    2. The other reason for creaking is the pole is over tight. This creates excess pressure on the dome and Base for a sport.

    In our experience the X-Joints not being tight enough is the main reason.
