Ok, when I first put the xjoints in….should the slit in the xjoints be showing..or shud it be closed all the way?

Also, when I put the bottom plate on, it isnt flush against the pole (maybe that’s normal) but it is also pretty wiggly..like if i stand it up it almost wants to topple over….. the little middle part on the base plate also wiggles around…is that normal?

base – that’s normal. The base articulates for safety reasons. It can’t be flush or it wouldn’t be able to spin.
joints – They never fully close. If you can slide them in the pole easily, they are fine.

Legs, go to YOUTUBE and type in how to assemble X PERT pole. They have a great video on how to do it, step by step. That is how I learned. 🙂

Yes I did watch it over and over lol….I just didn’t realize you had to loosen the 3 hex screws in order for the adjuster cover to fall down! That was the advice I got and IT WORKED!

The hex screws and the adjuster cover are not physically linked. You definitely don’t NEED to undo the screws to take the cover down. But sometimes undoing them and starting to loosen the pole can take the stress off the threads in the cover allowing it to undo.

I’ve never heard of needing to loosen those 3 to lower the adjuster cover. Did you get a 40mm? If so, maybe it is a quirk of the 40mm?

I got the 45 and it worked! They ssid sometimes you have to do something a bit different just to fix the problem that may not be stated on the video. 🙂
