Broken toe — again — do not want to be this fragile!
Hi Veeners – I started poling last Spring — once a week classes at studio. Got a home pole in Fall, signed up for SV lessons in January, and just completed the 30-day kick-off (which I enjoyed very much!).
Broke my big toe last summer, and took the recommended time off to make sure it healed well. But apparently just re-broke it this weekend. Which wouldn’t bother me so much if there had been a dramatic fall or something — but this was just from regular practice Fri night and silks class Sat morning.
So I’m in pain, unhappy to have to cancel class and scale back my home practice, and freaked out that my parts are apparently so fragile :-/
I really want to be strong. Have recently gotten my shoulder mount/ shoulder V, and have been very excited about this. And there’s so much in pole that I want to be able to do, want to work on. So it pisses me off — and scares me — to have something break down in just routine practice.
I’m hoping someone can tell me this isn’t that unusual? That it’s just the way things go, sometimes? That it doesn’t mean my body is too fragile for the stuff I really want to do? Thanks for listening.
