https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif So yesterday I finally got the xpole that I’ve been asking for. It took three years but I finally got it. My two friends and I put it up yesterday and all seemed well. This morning I started dancing on it and right in the middle of my chair spin the pole fell over. I looked at the pole and realized that apparently only was the pole not tight enough to the celing but the xjoint in between pole A and B somehow got twisted around inside the pole. last night the pole was wiggling a little but i just tightened the hex screws and it was fixed. Should i just take the pole apart and start all over?

    oh good!
i got something in the base messed up one time and was soooo upset that i had damaged it. I just sat there with my pole in pieces for about an hour trying to figure out how to fix it- and I did! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I think it’s good for polers to be able to assemble and disassemble their poles on their own, learn to fix problems, maintenance, etc… understand all the pieces fully. It just seems safer that way.

Agreed Katana. It actually went a lot smoother me putting the pole up by myself. When my friends were helping me we didn’t really know what was happening. When I put it up by myself I actually took the time to pay attention to what was going where and how things actually worked. I’m so glad that I fixed the problem, I was worried there for a minute… lol.

To avoid twisting of the x-joints, don’t forget to tighten the screws by alternating the two! AND also retighten all x-joints after you’ve put up the pole. You will notice that you can turn them a fraction more after erecting (*giggles*) and tightening the pole. (I know it’s all in the manual, but it’s easy to overlook, and makes all the difference)
