Girl, I can totally relate to how you’re feeling right now. That’s exactly how I’m feeling about my pole practice and its incredibly frustrating. While I haven’t experienced this yet myself, I hear that if you just keep doing the things you CAN do while also continuing to build strength, the new more advanced moved will come.

Just keep getting back on the pole and this plateau will soon give way to tangible progress. You’ve GOT THIS! 🙂

Just keep trying, you’ll get it. I’ve felt stuck a few times, right now being one of those times, and it feels like it take forever to advance. It will happen.

Definitely something a lot of people deal with! It’s super frustrating, so… we all feel your pain.
What I did was switch up my strength training (even so far as getting more into rock climbing, or even doing strength training at the gym) so that your muscles don’t “get bored” or used to what you’re doing…
And try to do all the moves I know, VERY SLOWLY. I don’t know what your preference to dancing is, but I LOOOVE really slow, sensuous dancing, and teaching myself how to slow down is basically pushing a boulder up a hill… but it is also HUGE for strength training!

Sometimes my power is kind of fading and I feel the same way, I am just tired and exhausted. What helps me in those days is taking just a few days off, letting my muscles relax and recover, doing some light yoga, pilates adn eating well, sleeping well and after few days, the world seams being a totally different place 🙂 I also found out that if I do only pole dance, I come to this point more often. If I do a combination of regularly pilates or yoga elements before each pole dance training or on the days I do not practice pole dance, so basicly a good strength training and cardio, my body respons much better. Veena hes some great lessons for building up strength too. They are very helpful. Hope you feel better soon, sweetie, you WILL have more power, I promisse 🙂 . But allow yourself also a little break, sometimes it is exactly what our body needs.
    Big hug, Lara

I have found out that i build strength much quicker if I’m eating right and going to the gym as well as doing pole. I only go one or two days a week and lift and usually run a couple of miles each week. Nothing major. But that along with eating well and pole have worked really well for me. I have 2 friends who are doing the same routine with me now and they are both amazed at the difference it has made. Keep at it. One day it will just happen for you.

Think of it as training for when you reach plateaus. Who said this was about trick trick trick? Vary the things you so know and try to make them yours. Work on flowing into and out of them. Look at the lessons here and work on transitions. Work on BOTH sides.

I’ve been there as well! It’s hard to say don’t worry about it, but you will get it. I was that way with my invert. I kept having a spotter push my butt up the rest of the way. But then one day, I just did it! It came out of the no-where!!! It really helped to have a friend to practice with so that we can help/spot each other in moves and make sure that we practice as much as possible. You’ll get there!!! Find the enjoyment in the journey! 🙂 Good luck!
