hi there!! I’ve been lurking in this forum for years but never posted anything. I’ve just moved to an area that is rather inaccessible thus I’m looking to get my own pole and start home poling instead.

I’m pretty much set on getting the 40mm brass X-pert pole, but I realized that the installation process for 2014 model is different from the older models?

Would like to check if anyone has recently bought any 2014 X-pert poles and was still able to use this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m04WT3y5w7Q) for the installation process?

I’ve emailed X-Pole US and they said that there will be a new installation video for the 2014 X-Perts- they are waiting for it and will release it as soon as they have it…but I’m so anxious right now and would love to be hear from others who have successfully installed the 2014 X-pert poles. Thanks!

I received my new tg xpert today and it isn’t much different to put up at all.the only main difference is that there is no adjuster cover to unscrew now. I am really pleased with mine

Yes AFAIK it’s pretty much the same to put up.
The hex keys/nuts are all fatter to make them stronger, and the little nubbin that stops the Xjoint from rotating (or didn’t!) is now a longer shape with corresponding slot in the pole.

The adjuster cover doesn’t come down, you just line up the marks on the outside of the pole before doing up the nuts.
