So I’ve recently noticed that I’m lacking in hand strength and I’ve started using those hand clampy type contraptions that you squeeze and release to try and help this… I was wondering if anyone had any tips or exercises?

My arms in general are quite strong as I can hand spring, janeiro, flag and things like that but when it comes to the reverse grab I can’t hold on with one hand! My sister who has been poling for less time than I have can do a simple one handed chair spin but I have no luck at all haha!

I do 3-5 sets of 15 and at the end of each set just see how long I can hold it closed… There is no science behind that. It just seems like a good work out. I also do finger extensor trainers in between.

If you have the lessons here I would suggest working on all 7 of the conditioning exercises for the hands, wrists and forearms, they are placed all in a row. You’ll want to strengthen all 3 areas, not just the hands. 🙂 Here is the first lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/b9b362ac-b880-11df-856f-001b214581be
