So my mood was boosted today by the fantastic arrival of my 45mm X-Pert! So excited to get it set up, I measured my ceiling which turned out to be 7Ft 6″, according to the instruction manual, it did not need any extensions…

I got to the very end of setting up and began to stand my pole up…( At this point I had unscrewed the pole completely to the lowest height) and it won’t stand! It’s as if my pole is too big for my ceiling! But the instruction manual said my ceiling height would be fine with no extensions…but it still won’t fit! And I can’t unscrew it any further 🙁

I had an old x-pole several years ago before the x-Perts came out and without extensions that fitted perfectly! So I cannot understand why this is different 🙁

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m like a spoilt child who can’t pole right now 😛

Omg!! I would feel the exact same as you!!

So can’t it stand at all? Or just with the base on?? Xx

The xpert should technically fit ceolings as low as 7’4 I believe?

With the base and the dome on top it won’t fit 🙁 it stands fine without the dome on top so it’s literally out by a couple of inches! I don’t know if I should contact x-pole about it because it can’t be the pole itself that’s faulty 🙁
    Argh 🙁

Can you put both the dome and base on, then position it at a kinda diagonal until it’s kinda wedged and then knock it into a straight?
If that makes any sense? Won’t need tightening much!
Or is it obviously to big? I would also measure the pole assembled and then re measure you ceiling to see what’s space you got to work with!
If you can’t get it up it’s well worth moaning at Xpole! They say 7″4!! Yours is 2inchs over that!! Raaaaaaage!! False advertisement!!!! Xx

I didn’t try that as I was alone when assembling it, I’ll have another go tomorrow with the help of mother dearest and see if we can get it up. If not, moaning to x-pole it is 🙁

That is so odd, my ceiling is the exact same height as yours Shadow. No need for extensions. Are you able to get pics? Hope you are able to get it put up.

If the problem still occurs tomorrow I’ll post some pictures. I’m just baffled as to how my old x-pole fitted perfectly yet this one won’t. The only reason why I bought this one was because I needed a 45 and my old pole was a 50 🙁

Did you screw it down onto the base as far as it would go?

Yes, to the point where it literally wouldn’t go any further…but it’s strange. I watched the assembly video on YouTube and the girl managed to get her adjuster cover to drop to the bottom of the base, I unscrewed the 3 hex screws at the bottom of A pole and I literally could not unwind the adjuster cover, it wouldn’t budge!…Could this be why??

You need to get the adjuster cover off in order to be able to retract the pole the whole way. Sadly if you tighten the screws right now you will not know if you are on the threads (BAD!!!!!) or in the channels (GOOD!!!).

    Shadow21,

Sorry to hear that your excitement was short-lived.

Thank you to everyone else who has commented in this discussion – as a previous contributor mentioned, the X-POLE XPERT poles can be installed at a minimum height of 7ft.4″ – so there should be no problems in fitting the pole within the 7ft.6″ area.

Could you be kind enough to give us a call on 020 8449 4400, so that we could try and help with your installation and de-activate the ‘rageface’?

I have a low ceiling… I had to use a long extension instead of B pole to make it work, but that did the trick.

haa i had the same problem but the other way… measured my ceiling and thought my x-pole would fit fine, then put it up and found I had inches of gap and needed an extension…!! i even measured again afterwards to double check and i still can’t figure it out at all haaha =P

@yrngrl, what size extension did you use?
