Would you like to see a more active StudioVeena? Here are some suggestions and helpful tips.

NO ONE’S IN CHAT – Make the chat room (lower left in your browser) the first stop when you visit and leave it OPEN the ENTIRE time you brows the site. Popping in and out right away will not allow you to catch other pole dancers. You can even “pop out” the chat room and leave it open all day if you like. Please feel free to use the INVITE option in the chat room to ask SV friends to join you.

FACEBOOK AND YOUTUBE PROBLEMS – You can share your SV videos from this site to FB and Twitter, you will have to individually select any video of yours you want to share to FB, this is done from your video. If you choose not to share, only members will be able to see your video.

SV IS ONLY A FORUM – The more updates, memes, videos, photos and discussions that are shared the more action you’ll see. SV is a running stream of all these things. We encourage our members to post as many photos and updates as they like. Updates are a great way to let everyone know what’s on your mind just like Fb. Why bore your FB friends who don’t “get it” with your pole life.

THERE’S MORE TO LIFE THEN POLE – Pole is what brings us together, however we understand there is more to everyone then a love of pole dance. Please feel free to share non pole related updates, and photos that you think your SV friends would like to see. Did you buy a new puppy or plant a garden? We’d love to see it!

POLE FRIENDS – Don’t forget to send friend requests, once you’re friends this will allow you to have quick conversation through group chat or private chat and send emails to each other. Be sure you’re chat options are set to Available.

EVENTS – We welcome all Pole related events to be posted to our site, please let your instructors know they are welcome here.

SV DOESN’T ALLOW TUTORIALS – We do! However, I ask that they NOT be DIRECT uploads to the site, they can be shared from outside the site as a link. However, please be considerate, if I have a lesson here for something a member has a question on, please remember to suggest it in addition to sharing any outside tutorial. Sharing ONLY alternative tutorials may be seen as inconsiderate if the info is already available on the site. Years of experience and planning have gone into the lessons and we are only funded through lesson sales and poles, we are not sponsored or funded by anyone.

THERE’S NO EDIT BUTTON – We removed the edit button long ago, this was due to members coming in causing trouble and then changing what they had originally wrote, causing even more trouble. I understand we make spelling errors and mistakes (I do it often) but it’s been an effective way to get members to think twice about how they respond. We have a Delete function.

POLE STARS AND CHALLENGES – If you have a professional pole dancer/star you love to follow or have challenges (other then the SV challenge) that you enjoy participating in, please feel free to suggest they share here as well. It would be lovely to have a one stop spot for everything pole!

ADVERTISING – If your post looks or sounds like an advertisement, Example “Looking to improve your invert? Try prancercise.” That’s an advertisement, save it for google and fb.

I hope this answers some of the common issues/questions people have. Please watch theses videos for more site info.

    Awesome suggestions Veena!

I am getting a puppy soon… and I SOOO wanted to post asking about “poler pets” and their names/breeds etc… but I didn’t know how welcomed that is, or if it just clogs up the forum.

I am going to try and keep the Chat open a lot more. I’m on my computer a decent amount at night, and I really like chatting 🙂 Alas, tonight I’ll be in bed soon. (I turn 29 tomorrow, but my bedtime is that of a 87 year old)

A suggestion or two from a user:

    1. I think rather than edit, maybe an Addendum would be nice… like you can add a note to your original post.. so I don’t need to make a new reply to clarify/correct myself. If that makes sense. It’s not really necessary.. just a thought.

    2. Is there a way to get my alerts on SV? First I had the alerts turned off and I wouldn’t know if anyone replied to a pic comment or something I left a long time ago… then I turned the email alerts on and BAM BAM BAM, email email email… which isn’t so bad, but I’d rather just see them go to my SV inbox. I’m not sure if thats possible, or if that option already exists…

Hope those suggestions didn’t sound obnoxious. I think this site is better than 100% of all other sites. So its not like I’m trying to find fault… Just brainstorming.

I super love my lessons. I had a friend over last night and introduced her to my pole (she wasn’t familiar with pole at all) and I showed her SV and we had such a fun little pole session

    PS- HAHAHA… prancercise. 🙂

Well hey, sleep is super important! These are all questions for webmaster, and while it seems like an easy thing to add a button or function here and there it’s not. Suggestions are always welcome though! 🙂

Clearly i have no idea what is involved but…i would love a notification button on here instead of emails. Some emails have the post in the, some dont, and either way i click back to here to either read and / or respond to it, so on site notifications would be awesome!

Great clearifications Veena, for example regarding the edit-option (that I commented on myself).
I can see why you removed it. However, I do have a suggestion, if it’s implementable or not I don’t know. Some forums give the option of being able to edit a message, for example, the first 15 minutes after it has been posted. It’s long enough to discover errors and correct, but usally to short to edit in order to cause trouble.

Love all this… You guys have obviously put a lot of care and planning into your site. 🙂
Re: Non-Pole topics (like pets, boyfriend problems, etc., lol!) Perhaps you can have a button up where your other categories are… Like Home Gallery Lessons…Then after Events, for example, add “Non-Pole” or “Everything Else”…
Just a suggestion so people know right away, this is encouraged and Here Is the Place!
For me, when I am reading through a topic on The CKR, and someone says “I am so bummed out. I can’t eat or sleep…” Omg! That takes me right off thinking about the CKR and wanting to help them! In a way the thread is hijacked. But those other topics are important too.
That’s why I think an obvious category on the menu bar for other interests and feelings would be great.

They used to have topics but they often were not used and also became a little cumbersome.

I absolutely love the idea of poler pets. Just about every video I watch there is a cat involved some how! I think polers are cat lovers! I am(well animals in general)and I don’t have children so it would be a nice place to share fun pet antics!
