    le sigh.

    dislocated my shoulder doing non-pole related things (playing with my 2yr old) does this mean i need to start from square one on spin and inverts? once i can move my arm again that is….

    any suggestions??

    It depends on the extent of your dislocation. You need to do ROM exercises and strengthening for the shoulder, take it slow until your stronger. You don’t need to start from scratch, but you do need to be diligent in your recovery, if you are not doing these things 1st, you can risk tearing and more permanent damage. Good luck to you!!! 🙂

    I would start with conditioning and strength before jumping back into things. You’ll want to be sure you’ve worked on these things before going back to what you were doing also I would avoid any Forward Lateral 1 hand spins for a while. But it’s not like you have to only do beginner work for months, just be sure to listen to your body and do whatever the DR suggested.

    i had a shoulder injury a few years back & i can tell you from experience that you need to condition & do some strength training before you start back poling. also now that my shoulder is healed i always make sure to warm up extra EVERY time i pole. prevention is the best medicine… after you are healed of course! hope you heal quickly

    hey guys!

    finally have most of my mobility back, and starting to do some strengthening and conditioning.It’s going to be a while before i can do anything over head :o( but getting good laughs from my girlfriend about “my overly engaged scapula”

    thanks for the suggestions, lots of floor work, in my future
