  • How to protect floor from pole cracks?

So I’m getting an xpole xpert, but i have porcelain tiles in my house. I’d be hesitant to put my pole directly on the floor? If I got a 1×1 metre square of carpet would it protect the floor from cracking? Does anyone have any tips on protecting a tiled floor?

The tile will be fine if there are no hollow spots under where your pole base will be. You can usually hear it with a tap with your knuckle if it is hollow under the tile. Carpet won’t protect it from cracking. But if the tile was installed correctly, it should be perfectly fine.

Amazingly even when a pole is tightened to the point your ceiling joist might creak, the floor tile does not get a mark in it.
Should mention that a “piece of carpet” laid under the pole can be dangerous. Read a couple of years ago someone did that and the pole slid and they got hurt. One of the manufacturers had replied that normal carpet is completely tacked down in place. A piece of carpet moves quite easily.
