  • Fair price for lightly used 50mm TG Xpole Xpert ???

Hi community! I’ve been taking pole classes for nearly four months now and have had my home pole for about two months. It is a 50mm TG Xpert. I am planning to sell it already because I plan to get a brass pole. We use 50mm brass at the studio and I have discovered that the brass finish is so much better for grip for me personally (I am SO sweaty – even brass is a struggle at times).

ANYWAY, I’m wondering what is a fair price for this pole. It’s gotten some love but not a ton of use due to the short time I’ve had it. I of course have the carrier bags for the dome/base and pole pieces/extensions. I paid a little over $350 for the pole plus $50 shipping.

Thanks in advance if any of you guys can help with advice. I plan to sell it to one of my friends at the studio or put out a local craigslist ad before trying something like eBay, by the way.

It’s a matter of opinion really.

    So if I was buying it from a friend/studio mate who I trusted… I’d probably pay 270.

From a random person on CL I’d be expecting a bargain and pay 200.

Now that may sound weird to charge your friend more than a stranger…so maybe ask 270 but realize if it’s on CL you’re going to have to accept lower.

Let me just telling you where I’m coming from…

So a new one is like 330 + 40 for shipping is 370…. I know xpole has super service regardless, but I just feel like if you get a new one and you have any problems they will help you out. If you have trouble on a used one you may need to purchase something…. For me if I knew the person and the pole was almost good as new and I knew the person took care of it and the joints were stripped or stuck etc it would be worth saving 100 for me not to just order a new one.

If I was getting it from a stranger and I had to pick it up somewhere (already a hassle) and I can inspect it, but won’t really know how it spins or whatever until I get home… Then I need to go much lower on my price to feel good making that gamble.

    Make sense?

Yeah, it makes sense. Thank you so much for the reply. I’d still love to hear other’s opinions though! I know the pole is in great shape and well cared for and some of my studio mates have been over to play and want one of their own. I just want to feel like both parties are getting a fair deal and I really have no idea what to sell for. I’ve seen used poles on eBay for more than the new price from Xpole! I realize that’s not right, and I don’t plan to get back what I paid by any means…but I still just don’t know!

I bought a used one from a friend for $200. I felt that was a fair price for a pole in good condition.

I have sold couple xpole xpert poles for $270. Each time I knew the person buying, and also know that mine were in excellent condition, each time they were sold close enough to not pay shipping, so makes it a better price.

Thank you so much for chiming in on my question. It’s so helpful to hear others’ experiences with buying or selling used poles!
