Anyone have a name for this move?
We got into it from brass monkey — hook foot of free leg and sit part-way up, lean down into a split grip, and switch out the feet.

Thanks, Tropicalpole. Hadn’t ever heard of those! But it looks like these are done with hips behind the pole? Not sure if that would make this a variation of that, or something different.

I have seen it though, maybe it was called Firebird? Will try and look to check. -

Nice! I was wondering because I am in that same exact pose in my Facebook profile since 2012 except I am only holding on with one hand. I get into mine from twisted grip then turning my body until my back is facing the pole then hooking my top leg. I like to do a low spin in that pose too. You can spin in static mode or spin mode.

I don’t know the name but I think this is the same move? I enter into it from a cartwheel mount.

In Bristol we called it the monkey fish! Because you enter it from a brass “monkey” and then work it into a poisson/fish looking thing, hence monkey fish hehe xx
