I suck SO much at this; I look like I am prancing my legs and pointing toes in manner of person doing pointy toe bicycle crunches. Can anyone help? I did vid it but it’s kind of embarrassing :-/

    Thanks 🙂

The biggest tips is don’t make steps the way you would on the floor. Most people over exaggerate their steps because they’re in the air and it ruins it. Do a baby lift of your knee not a huge one and when going between flexing and stepping with the feet same thing. Keep it a bit more subtle and it’ll look better 🙂 this is from iguana but you should still see the difference and Jenyne’s the best at this (it’s her signature and she teaches it really well) http://youtu.be/c0FSHifXslk

One of the big mistakes I see is people keeping their toes pointed when they walk. When the foot comes forward your foot should be flexed…..when we walk we land on our heels, not our toes.

That’s true: I stopped pointing and tried again but ended up doing tippy toe balls of feet which looked equally daft!

When I do heels down flexed feet it’s hard not to splay toes like a tree frog. Maybe I should try in shoes.

Try in just a basic baseball grip hold, belly on the pole. You can walk “either side” of the pole. If you do it *just off the ground, you will have to move your feet more naturally.

ooh it’s actually very similar to “water legs” or “medusa”. so really STRAIGHTEN the knee in the backwards motion part.

Thanks – love the FB clip.
Learned a prancing variation today which looks better than my early efforts but still having issues getting feet to look like they’re stepping along flat surface; the tip about trying just off ground is genius 🙂

Meanwhile will practice proper air walk without tree frog splay toes and get back to you…
