breast cancer awareness month
For breast cancer awareness month here a little reminder that we are all beautiful. There is no need to be insecure about your boobies, breast or how ever you want to call them. Embrace the fact that you have two, one or maybe none. Embrace the fact that you’re beautiful inside and out.
When I go out I do wear a bra with prostheses, but at home I just wear a sports top and am flat on one side. Btw also on the beach I am lop sided and rocking it. I wear my scar with pride. It’s a reminder of what I overcame, the battle I won. It’s been 4.5 years since my diagnosis and I have been a little over 3 years in remission after 15 months of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation.
In light of breast cancer awareness month I would like to ask and remind you to do your monthly self checks, go have a yearly breast exam done and if you’re old enough a yearly mammogram. Early detection saves life’s, not always breasts, but it can safe your life. And my life was worth way more then my breast.
And don’t think because you’re healthy, or have no family history that it can’t happen to you. 1 out of 8 women get diagnosed. 80% of them didn’t have a family history. Neither did I and I was pretty healthy. So for all your beautiful people, here is my beautiful self.
