Hi everyone. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I’m new to pole. Have only taken three classes but am already addicted to it. I’m even picking up my own pole today.

I love the feeling I get when I’m on a pole. I can already tell the positive impact it’ll have on my life.

I have been sharing videos on my Fb of pole dances I find beautiful and talking about pole all the time. Most of the people I know just can’t understand why I enjoy it which is why I’m so glad to have found this site. I am excited to make new friends and share in this incredible journey with all of you.

I’m excited to see so many people who are just discovering their love for pole like me; good luck you guys!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. This is a fantastic site. Thank you Veena for creating such a friendly safe place. I got an X-pert 45mm chrome spinning/static pole from X-pole.

Welcome to the site and to your new addiction! It is getting close to 7 years for me and I am still in love with it. The best words of advice that I can give is to be kind to yourself and your journey. We all come into this with different levels of fitness, body shapes, limitations, etc, but we have to remember not to compare our journey with others as it is just that, OURS and THEIRS.

I am going to go out on a limb here and also say to please be wary of sites on FB and youtube. There are so many people giving so much bad advice out there it really is rather scary. Veena has really done her homework and has lessons set up to progress slowly and learning the skills that you need to get to the next level. “Getting a move” is not worth it if you end up injured because you did not have the proper strength or form to get there. Trust me on this one. There was not instruction like this available when I started and I have permanent injuries.

Wow I’m so sorry to hear you have permanent injuries. No I won’t follow anything on Fb. I do watch video like actual dances on it but that’s about the extent of it. 🙂 thank you so much for the welcome and giving the heads up. It’s very good to know such nice people have each others backs. 🙂

I think it should be said that there are some good, safe instructional videos out there. The problem is, how do you tell the safe ones from the dangerous ones? And there definitely is more dangerous ones or poor ones than good ones. That is why I am on here.

There is a YouTube video from a year ago, still on there. She was making an instructional pole lesson. The girl fell and injured herself. At the end you see her with a cast stating she was not doing it right. There’s an understatement for you!
