    Hello,
I’m having trouble clearing the hands on a V-Invert to gemini (my knee lands almost right above my hands each time, making it difficult to move my hands to other positions). I’ve been poling for 2 years now and am on to more advanced moves, but this relatively basic one I can’t seem to master. I’m guessing it’s a problem with not engaging the abdominals? Any thoughts on overcoming this barrier? Any strengthening exercises that would help?
    Thank you!

Do you have any videos to show how you get into the gemini from V invert? Do you mean when you V-invert and hook the leg to gemini, your hands get stuck under your knee pit? Have you tried hooking your leg higher?

a video would be really useful. It could just be that you’re not lifting your hips high enough in order to get that knee hooked high. bit tricky to know though without seeing what you’re currently doing 🙂

Yes, a video would be very helpful. It’s not unusual for polers to be doing advanced work and not have a solid proper invert. Are you using a side pole hold (pole in the arm pit) for your basic invert? Or do you find, you place the hands low and end up having the forearm on the pole inside of gripping into the armpit? Another possibility is placing the hands too high.
