I bought a 50mm chrome Xpole sport before the 2014 came out and I have struggled with the grip on it, it takes a lot of warming up, grip aids etc
I want to buy a 45mm now, does anyone own the new poles? They claim to be a better grip… But I’m sceptical!
I’ve had a titanium gold before but I can’t really see a huge difference

I have a 2014 chrome xpert and attend studios with earlier versions of chrome x perts and I can’t see any difference. All the poles need regular wiping down with alcohol and all need to be warmed up – by friction ie dancer climbing, spinning, sliding up and down for 10 mins to get grippy. Cold dancer on cold chrome – pole fail. Warm chrome and warmed up dancer – no probs. I still use grip though.

Thank you – maybe the pole prep thing is still new to me!

I have the 2014 45mm at home and yes the pole does need warming up. I have that problem in the studio as well the last few weeks because the temp has dropped. I’m not sure if that’s an Xpole there or not. I find that getting a cloth and rubbing the pole vigorously up and down is working quite well currently in my absolutely freezing house. Warms you up too! Just watch those shoulders/arms, may need to warm them up first 😀
