So I bought a 45 mm Lil mynx off Craigslist and installed it last night. The room I put it in has ceilings just under 9ft, so the extension bar is all the way out. Is it normal for that thing to rattle? I only have experience with xpoles. Thanks!

Im not sure what you mean by rattle but my lil mynx always creaked and groaned on both stationary and spin mode.

Sorry, by rattling I mean it seems to have quite a bit of give so it rattles (or kinda clangs) back and forth. Basically there’s just more play. It may just be the design and the fact that it’s almost at its full height.

I bought mine brand new and I would agree that it “clangs” when a lateral force is applied to it. I do believe that’s normal for a Lil Mynx.

Only time my first Lil mynx rattled or clanged was when I struck it from the side, or was too rough with it on a horizontal level.
If your pole is clanging or rattling when spinning, it may need some looking at? Perhaps the Lil Mynx people would know more (I know they creep around the forums a bit!)

Yep they have an inner tubing that will rattle, when as Rune, said is struck or pushed a bit from the side, don’t be worried there’s nothing wrong. I was concerned the first time I used mine but it’s totally normal!

Thanks everyone! I think I got it. I tightened it a little and it’s much better. There is some “play”, but no more than I’ve noticed from my brass xpole at that height.

Which brings up another point. I love the SS! I’m shocked. Yes, it’s slick at first when cold, but warmed up I think I may like it better than the brass. It really seems to work with my body chemistry. Don’t get me wrong, the brass and I are still friends, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find I liked the SS so much. Best $100 spent ever!
