Can someone please give me some advice on moving down the pole with your hands? When I’m trying to lower on the pole while doing a spin, my hands sort of like jerk down instead of sliding down smoothly as I see you guys do. Are my hands too sticky? I do use Dry Hands. Thank you for any suggestions.

I would definitely try without Dry Hands. It possible you’re over gripping, but more than likely its the dry hands, that stuff is like glue!

It could be that you need something different than dry hands. I am in the process of doing a product comparison review for about 10 different grip aids/ antiperspirants. Each of them work a little differently and address different issues, so you might have to experiment with what works best for you (or wait for my video review to come out!)

Also, maybe work on slow release of grip. Have you ever seen those little tools people squeeze to increase grip strength? I use one but don’t know it’s name lol… perhaps try squeezing that and releasing it VERY slowly to gain more control of the relaxing of that muscle. Just my 2 cents!

With practice you can work around sticky hands and learn grip control. Usually it’s sweaty hands that have the worst issue because they just are so slick! If you’re interested, in the lessons you see how you can work on grip control while in pole hold. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/54921dfb-d4f0-474e-b098-238d0a9aa0eb

Thanks, you guys! I’m going to start using Dry Hands less frequently. I find it leaves residue all over my pole as well and I’m constantly having to clean it. I think with more practice, I’ll get better with this. 🙂 Thanks again!
