  • Adjuster on X-Pole seems stuck

I bought an X-pert X-pole in 2012 and have moved a few times since, with no problems setting up and taking down my pole. However, we just started to put up my pole now and it seems all good until a certain point when doing to final adjustment… This is where it is impossible to adjust the height any further, we can’t rotate it any further to expand the pole.

I am certain that we have not used too much of the adjuster (have used only 1cm before it sticks and won’t move!). Unfortunately there is only about 3-5cm left to go before the pole is flush against the ceiling 🙁 So we can’t just use the 12.5cm adjustment as that will be far too tall.

As it is, it definitely isn’t calling hours for X-pole (weekend night after 12am haha), so I was just wondering if anyone has had this issue before? Or if maybe we just need to spray some oil to lubricate the thread? Thanks 🙂

WD-40 inside of the 3 adjuster screw holes, twist the pole down and up. More WD-40, twist it down and back up keep doing this until you get more of the adjuster rod more exposed. I hope the only thing it needs is more lubrication :o) Good luck getting your pole in working condition! xoxo

Thank you for the advice, it seemed to get some movement but unfortunately not enough :/ Ended up having to buy a new one but that turned out better than expected – someone was selling a brass x-pole nearby! So all good in the end 🙂

I know this is older but I am posting in case someone searches and finds this. Did you be chance at some point tighten your pole so that the screws did not sit in the flat channels? This is a pretty common thing that gets overlooked in the directions. If you did then there is a good possibility that you crushed the threads.
