Does it count if I was only doing it from a low pole sit? I did it once on my own, once for my six-year-old, and then I made my husband come watch me. Eeeek! It is so ugly, and I am not sure how well I can sit up from it, but YAY! I let go of the pole and was able to lie back in a fairly controlled way. Happydancehappydance!!!!

Also, my toes were pointed. I was very excited about that.

    Yay! That’s awesome!
Sitting up from a cross-knee release takes a LOT of core strength! You’re basically doing an inverted situp! So, keep working on that core- you’ll totally get there!
Prettying the move also comes with time! You’re making progress, though, and that’s awesome!

Yes, core is definitely my focus for conditioning. I need it to clean up and control my inverts and well, for everything pole-related! Thank you for the advice and encouragement. 🙂
