Hey all I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’ve been hooping for 2 years now and I’m looking to get into pole dancing before moving onto aerial hoops. Currently I am unable to work due to my chronic illness so shelling out $300+ on a pole isn’t exactly possible. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions on where to find used poles, suggestions on other cheaper, but reputable, pole brands aside from x-pole, and or if you feel that waiting and getting an x-pole at full price is my best option.
I do not have any studios in my area so any other resources for learning, materials, or tips would be awesome as well. Thank you! I’m excited to start my pole journey.

Quality safe poles are not going to be cheap. Have you looked into the poles we sell here? We have both xpole and lil mynx and both are great poles!

This one is only $189 https://www.studioveena.com/store/index.php/poles/lil-mynx-original-dance-pole-powder-coated.html I love mine, I have the rotator lil mynx and they are very quick to set up and take down, you can use them on a flat or vaulted ceiling, all you need is the vault mount.

We also sell an xpole sport chrome for $199 https://www.studioveena.com/store/index.php/poles/x-pole-sport-chrome.html Also a nice pole for the money.

For that price range you will not get a pole that has a spinning option but you will have a nice quality pole!

@veena Yes! I was hoping that someone on here might have a used one they were looking to get rid of. I’ll just save up the money and get an x-pert! 🙂

Saving for a quality pole is your best bet. Although you may find a used one cheaper, but sick to X-pole or Lil minx. As far as online learning resources, you’ve already found the best out there. The lessons here are more than worth it. I’ve been paying for them for a few years now and never regretted it. Great for all levels, from Day 1 to Year 10+!

Check craigslist in your area but also familiarize yourself with what a real xpole looks like. Too many fakes out there.

@dustbunny Yes! I was referred here by another home learner, I just can’t wait to be able to start! In the mean time I’ll work more in increasing yoga so I’m ready for my pole! 🙂

@chemgoddess1 Unfortunately I live in a really rural area, I’ve checked but no dice. 🙁 I suppose I could check down in the cities as I have a surgery coming up in that area in a month anyway.
