I actually did it! I did it this weekend but it was kinda sloppy. Tonight i did it, and i did it again..and again! I am right handed but i invert better on my left side, who knew! I practice everynight when i come home unless i am real tired or too sore. I did find drinking a whey protein shake does help with muscle fatigue and soreness as well as help to build lean muscle. I am so proud of myself. The rest of the week I am going to practice inverting and hanging correctly if that makes sense. Right now i mainly hold on with my hands since it was new to me. I have got to get the grip in between my knees etc. My hopes is to eventually be able to do the Ayesha! I love that move and if done right it is so sexy with the right music. I am so proud! Yay me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive only been poling at home for about 2 1/2 weeks. Been going to the studio for about 2 months now so i think im doing pretty good. I also did the superman, from the floor. Dirty Birdy has a great tutorial on youtube on how to practice it on the floor first. How do you get past that inner thigh burn??

Congrats on getting your invert! Take your time getting the Ayesha as it is more advanced. As for the inner thigh burn, there’s no way around it you just have to keep doing it until the pain goes away. Congrats again!

First inverts are so exciting, I’m happy to hear you’re working both sides, that really important! As for the thigh burn as Vdub said it gets better with time, just keep at it.

Thank you! Yes, the inner thigh burn keeps me from sitting etc. And trying the superman, its awful. Lol. I did 8 inverts in a row last night. 4 on my left and 4 on my right. I also did it in heels so im getting better. Now im working on hanging correctly as far as having the pole between my knees and thighs. Sometimes i dont have my feet wrapped around correctly but it will come in time. I am just so excited i can finally do it. Took me about 2 weeks!

Awesome 🙂 I’m also learning to invert. Slowly but strengthing myself to get it where it won’t be sloppy. I really want to helicopter but I’m just now getting my feet on the pole. I also realize that it was easier on my left side with the pole on spin. I don’t know how I did it but I did. I’m right handed But I noticed my hand position had to be little lower than I was trying to watch from the video.
