I have a question. Somehow at the end of my HIIT workout this morning, my treadmill died. I need to work out in the morning and was wondering. I have 13 stairs to get up to my deck. Do you guys think that is enough stairs to do a HIIT workout running up them for several sets? If so, I wonder how many calories you would burn doing this. Thanks in advance for your input!

I guess it would depend on your level of fitness. It’s worth trying to see if it’s intense enough.

Thanks Veena. I think that I will give it a try. If it doesn’t work, I have lots of hills on my farm that I can run up and down I guess.

If you google HIIT home workouts, you can find programs that don’t use any equipment/can be done at home. They generally just tell you what exercise to do (like mountainclimbers, jumping jacks, etc) and how long to do them. If you want you can download HIIT timers so that way the time for each interval is set and you don’t have to worry about it. Really they might have apps that just plan the program for you. But! Point being, there are lots of ways to do HIIT if running is not available. πŸ™‚ makes for real ideal travel workouts.

Thank you so much! I just know that I have to do something. I started doing HIIT this week on the treadmill as a way to boost my fat loss. I will try Google!

You’re ver welcome πŸ™‚ you picked a good method πŸ˜‰ HIIT is proving to be much more effective than our current 30+ min of steady moderate exercise. Not only in weight loss, but in how effectively it improves your heart function. It’s exciting stuff!! And hell yeah to staying positive even when the treadmill breaks Γ°ΕΈβ„’Ε’
