  • Titanium gold vs.Chrome xpert pole? 40mm vs 45mm ?

    Hey All!
Plz help with any advice. I started pole dance classes like two months ago. I want to buy one for home. Should I go with the xpert titanium gold or chrome ? The studio has only chrome, some days I can grip on to it and other days I can’t at all. I was told titanium gold is best for home atmosphere but I am afraid it will rip of my skin .. Did any one face the problem of over gripping and ending up not sliding down when needed (at inverts for example) or ripping off skin? Lastly, for the pole size… My hands are small and a 40mm is better for them, but my legs are not strong enough on it. So what’s the best option for long term investment? Thanks all to your input!

Let me add this info too… Temperature control shouldn’t be a problem . I will be having it in my living room (hope later I’ll empty one of the rooms and make it my gym room) … So in the winter time the central heater would be on and I can add a separate heater for that room too.. In the summer the AC can be on or aff depending what’s better for my pole time..

For what it’s worth I love my 45mm Titanium Gold. I feel like the grip is much more consistent because it heats up and retains the heat so much better than the chrome I sold.

I chose 45mm because that is what we use in the studio and is considered to be the industry standard. I don’t know if I’d ever compete but I would like to take workshops and feel comfortable on the diameter.

I love my 45 titanium gold. Had a 50 tit gold years ago, bought a 45 chrome and within months bought a 45 tit gold and sold the 45 chrome.

I have the X-pert Chrome 45 and have learned how to adjust so I can get a consistent grip. I am very happy with my pole now that I have figured it out! If you are too sweaty or too dry depending on skin and room humidity there is no way you can maintain a grip on this pole. I live in dry Arizona and am over 50 so I have dry skin and just slid right down – no grip at all. Here’s what works for me: I shave my legs the night before a pole day and liberally apply ‘Vaseline Total Moisture Body Lotion’ or the ‘Equate Absolute Moisture Dry Skin Lotion’. These are non greasy glycerin based lotions. When ready to pole I warm up my body and the pole, use alcohol on the pole, and wash my hands with ‘Dawn Dish Detergent’ to get the oils off. This always works for me. If for some reason it’s humid here and my legs are a little sweaty I apply just a little alcohol in the inner thigh, behind knees, and inside calves, and this solves that problem. Hope this helps someone out there with a chrome pole! It’s a wonderful pole when you can stick to it:)!

Glycerine based lotions with xtended absorbtion formulas are very good solution to chrome.
If you apply these to your body and practice on brass or TG depends on your body chemistry your skin might become very clammy and you will stick too much.
I remember when girlfriend told me to use it I almost ripped my skin of my inner thigh doing my switches down the pole. This formula works on a cold TG or brass just at the start. After you used the pole and warmed it up you will stick to it like crazy. The whole session might be waisted unless you rewash yourself.
If you trying it just make a solution of a glycerine with water 50:50 and put in a spay bottle with a few drops of alcohol. It works only on a body, but I would do just thighs, inside knee and ankles like areas where your need it. And would avoid touching it with my hands

It’s reversed for me! I have chrome at home and they use all titanium in the studio I go to. The titanium hurts I think, I mean not horribly bad but more so than my chrome one! I definitely prefer the chrome, mine is 45mm and I love it! Although I learned on 50mm 🙂
