Hey girls! Just need a little help. I got my xpert xpole yesterday and was super excited. I have emailed xpole Australia regarding my issue but would just like to know if anyone has faced something similar? It literally took my partner and I over a good hour to set it up. The joints did not slip in as easily as what was shown on YouTube. We had to literally force it in! Our hands got so dirty from the grease! Once we got everything set, we put it up and tried to make it straight as possible. Tightened it between the floor and ceiling. I was so excited! Put it on spin mode and OMG! The frustration! It spun so smoothly, hit a “bump” and spun smoothly again. I was like “WHAT?!” Why didn’t it spin all the way with the same smooth rhythm ? So I loosened the pressure of the pole from the ceiling and floor, it seemed a bit better but now the middle of the pole was “bending”? Like it was not strong! I got so upset I felt like crying! I couldn’t even use the pole cause I felt like it was unsafe and it wasn’t “perfect”! Any idea what went wrong?

Ok, I’ve had some students that went through this. The joints go in hard if you don’t loosen them before you try to put them in, in other words if the joint was fully expanded and had to be forced, it will pry the slots apart, and eventually the joint will twist and not stay lined up. Secondly, make sure the screws you loosen for the spin mode are out and level with the outside of the pole, it even one is not out far enough it will catch on the screw as it spins. Another problem is when the pole is not lined up on the bottom 3 screws. When you are first screwing the adjuster to the height you need and tighten it, if the screws are not perfectly lined up with the flat part of the adjuster rod (the rod is covered by the metal sleeve at the bottom of the pole)your pole will catch and not spin properly. These seem to be the most common problems, and are an easy fix. 🙂 Hope this helps a bit!

I had the same problem. Turned out the bottom part (A-pole) had a slight bend in it. I had to roll each part over a flat surface to find the problem, if it’s not rolling smoothly, it’s bend. Now I am waiting for the replacement piece

I had issues when I first set mine up too. It’s so frustrating. Another thing you might check too is that the ball bearings are all intact and spinning smoothly. My adjuster (the bottom part that you spin to make the pole fit) had broken ball bearings. There are two sets of ball bearings in there. There are also ball bearings on the dome. My pole was catching when it spun. Not sure if that’s your problem, but the good news is that xpole will replace any defective parts.

Mine did the same thing. I also didn’t feel as safe when I loosened it. I ended up putting it back to static and being frustrated.
