I just had a good time removing a stripped screw on my xstage. (not really) anyways, I feel like I am pretty careful with the screws, but the screws are made of a soft metal and are easy to strip. just wanted to warn others to periodically change the screws. just get new ones and change them. it will prevent lots of suffering from trying to remove the screw. seriously, just order the screws from xpole’s website they are only like $2.00. you might also be able to find the screws at the hardware store. I couldnt find them at mine so I just ordered them from xpole. if you are not sure what size screws you need, call xpole and ask them. they were very helpful for me. yep, take your pole apart periodically and check everything out and change those screws. 🙂

Yeah they were nowhere to be found at my hardware store either. The new Xpoles come WITH extra screwe. So nice. Not sure if they do with the new x stages but yeah, someone def thought avout it

I had to remove the old screw with a screw extractor. it was a pain in the ass and if that didnt work I would have had to buy a whole new bearing housing for my pole. I’m glad it worked. Now I keep extra screws on hand in case these start to look a little worn , they are going in the garbage.

You will get the screws cheaper from a fastener specialist like Brafasco than from X-pole. I also have bought extra bearings (from an auto parts supplier) to keep on hand should I ever have to replace them.

Also, get a decent Allen key. The piece of sh!# they send you is not helping. It will prevent stripping the screws in the first place.

Never heard of Bragasco. I’m in San Diego so maybe that’s why. The screws were only a couple of dollars plus shipping. Xpole is in Los Angeles so ordering was a better option for me. Yes, even xpole recommended getting a real Allen wrench. I will definitely be using it for now on! Very good advice!

Maybe they are a Canadian company. I’m not sure, but you must have some version of the same thing down there. ☺
