    So I took down my pole to move apartments, and now that Im putting it back, the 2 of the three screws that tighten to lengthen and shorten the pole wont go in all the way! Im sure that the little line is lined up the way it should be. 2 of the screws are sticking out a tiny bit, like 1.5 millimeters, but I’m worried itll scratch me.

    Has this happened to anyone? I dont know if there is a limit to how much I can lengthen it, I think I lengthened it quite significantly and maybe that is part of the problem?
    One of the screws is sticking out more than the others, and Im considering just taking it out completely.

    YES! I have 4 screws that stick out on my X pole and have left very obvious scars on the inside of my ankle-to-calf! and they won’t go in! Let’s hope somebody can answer!!

    Rylonn, if you shorten the pole right down, would you then have enough space to add a smaller extension piece so that you wouldn’t need to unscrew the pole as much? Not sure if this would help the problem?

    There are only two reasons why the 3x screws for locking the adjuster will stick out;

    a) They are the wrong length screws (depending on the age of the X-Pole they should be M8x8 pre 2014 or M10x8 2014 onwards)

    The screws should be 8mm (0.32”) in length. Please remove a screw and check.

    b) The screws are being tightened onto the Adjuster Thread – that will damage the thread and possibly lock the adjuster permanently.

    Also make sure the vertical line on the adjuster body and the Key slot on the adjuster cover align

    All the screws on an X–Pole when locked should be below the tube surface.

    Lengthening the pole too much should not effect the screws providing the adjuster line is positioned correctly.

    The maximum the adjuster should be extended is 5″. Above this an additional extension is required.
