I recently got my side superman coming from gemini -> genie (yay!) and now I’m looking for pretty exits. Right now I’m just dropping onto the floor, which is of course not pretty.

I can’t pull myself into the pole like in regular superman because I’m loosing my leg grip, plus I’m not really flexible in my back so in regular superman I’m dropping my hips to get a different angle but that’s not possible in side superman without falling down.

Any ideas? I love this trick and I’m so happy I finally made some progress, but of course I would like to use this moves in a routine and therefore need a pretty exit.
I guess I could go back to genie, but I would like to come up with something different.

Hi, I did a similar exit to the one at :43 in this video. I used this video as the answer to my side superman dilemma when I was trying to create choreo for competition. It’s definitely a challenging move to get out of but a beautiful move, one of my faves. I look forward to other ideas from other veeners too! Good luck finding the right exit for you 😊

One that is ptreey simple, but you need some height for, is into twisted ballarina (or flying ballarina, or any of those reaching your arm up behind you twisted positions) Let me know if that is something you might be interested in and need a video for explination

I have an instructor who exits this and goes into a remi-sit. I dont remember how to do it. but it was pretty awesome when I saw her do it.

Sorry totally forgot about this! You grab thw freehand by your knee and rotate. I think it is slightly easier on static but both work https://youtu.be/QyrcIajAxZA

Its not hard, ive had a lot of students do it the first try right after getting side saddle superman. You do need some height because you will slide (less so on spin)
