I came across this article and feel it’s important to share. This last bit stood out to me as this is my motto as well “I train because I love it and because it makes me a better person. And because I can.”

While the article is strength training based the message is exactly what I try to bring to pole dancers through the lessons and my teaching method. Be kind to your body and you will see the benefits! 💜 We often push and focus too much on nailing what we think we “should” be learning. Twisting and stretching ourselves into positions our bodies reject, if you do this for too long you will pay later, no one like to hear this but it’s a real outcome. Some are naturally bendy or strong and that’s wonderful but to have a long life as a pole dancer we need to listen to our bodies. *stepping off soapbox now* ☺️

Thank you Veena for sharing! At times I do get the frustration of “what will happen when I age if I’m doing wrong training program”?! Especially if for people like me trying to learn it all from the convenience of home .. which comes with cons if done improperly.

If you follow the Veena method you can avoid much of the pitfalls found in training! 💜

When i first start poling I was doing it every day, sometime 2-3 time in the same day…and i kept hurting myself 🙁 But as soon as i start poling 3 times a weeks, not more than 2h i saw result wow. I yes a good warmup stretching help so much too 🙂

Great article! I couldn’t agree with it more! I have inevitable come to the same conclusions, some by learning the hard way! Thank you for sharing it.

Awesome Veena I have always lived by these rules when training after I had a serious injury, I was lucky and glad I bounced back from, so training carefully now and enjoying the journey. I’m a slow learner but it definitely is not a bad thing I find I progress better and with out injuries 💕☺️😍 train safe everyone 👌🏻✌🏻

Thanks for sharing, Veena! The part about dedicating time to a good warm up is something that resonates with me a lot at the moment.

Good read. I have to now take it easy. Over doing exercise will no doubt end in disaster!
