  Break-Away Clothes?

  Does anyone know how to make these? Like pants, skirts, etc. that you’d “tear off” during a performance? I’ve always assumed they’re Velcro at the seams, but does anyone actually know?

  Burlesque people who make clothes know how to make beautiful outfits including those, or if you know any magic Mike :)))

  Yep, velcro. The trick is enough to hold but not too much or it is too hard to rip off.

  Lol sadly I have no Magic Mikes in my life. I do sew, and I’ve been wondering for a while how to do these outfits. Thanks for the tips on Velcro and burlesque seamstresses! I’ll try to find a community that might have tutorials. Googling “how to make break-away pants” was just getting me tutorials about regular pants. :/
