I have been having quite a bit of difficulty with the forearm stand. The trouble I am having is that I can’t seem to get the pressure off my neck and keep my head out of it. I tried putting the mat there because I figured that it was upraised and if I could only learn to keep my head off the ground I’ll have it. I would love some advice. Is this just a normal progression and the strength will eventually come, or is there a tip that someone could give me? Appreciate any advice.

Are you trying to do an elbowstand (head DOES touch) or Forearm stand (head totally off floor)? Forearm is more advanced and requires more strength in the shoulders!

If you’re doing elbowstand the head will contact the floor but the majority of the pressure isn’t on it, however you’ll still feel it for sure.
