I need help! Briefly: My supporting leg or arm has several times become numb in inverted (knee grip) positions like gemini.. I cant feel and therefore control my leg as I’d like to. Scary. Is the numbness normal and what I can do to prevent it?

Bellini , I haven’t experienced this for myself . It doesn’t seem normal , I haven’t heard of others having that . Maybe someone else can give you there experience . I have numbness in my knee from an injury where I grabbed my foot in a Marley spin but I don’t get numbness from just a knee hook. My numbness from the Marley is permanent though. 🙁

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Is the “marley-numbness” in both legs?

I have been thinking.. I have raynayd’s syndrome (reduced blood flow in fingers, toes and nose as response to cold or stress), maybe the pressure in the knee pit and bad circulation play a role in this, though being upside down and exercising makes body warm and happily sweaty.. It could also be a nerve?
My plan is to practice other moves and let the knees rest for a while, then try again and see what happens.

No, I did a Marley one day , I grabbed my knee, it snapped. I strained a ligament and also damaged the nerve . It is numb 24/7 only on my right knee. Your situation does sound like it could be a circulatory thing or just a nerve pressing against the pole.

If it only happens while you are doing these type of tricks then it probably is just pressure against the pole. I’m not sure how to correct that though. You might just have to experiment with your contact points and see if you can grip in a way that this doesn’t happen .
